Sceloglaux Albifacies, commonly known as the laughing owl, was a species of owl that was native to New Zealand. It was unique and distinctive in its appearance and behavior. The laughing owl was a medium-sized owl, measuring around 14 to 16 inches in length, with a wingspan of approximately 40 inches. Its plumage was predominantly brown, while its face and throat were pale and speckled with brown and white markings.
The laughing owl was known for its unique call, which resembled human laughter, hence its name.
